We are miners of Gemstone in Western Australia, specializing in Marra Mamba Tiger Eye mined from our own lease (claim) on the Nammuldi Ridge near Mt Brockman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. A rare piece of land, one of only a few leases left producing Marra Mamba Tiger Eye. Marra Mamba Tiger Eye is widely regarded as the "Rolls Royce" of Tiger Eye. Often sandwiched between layers of Hematite and Magnetite, with red, yellow, and green Jaspers making it an extremely attractive Gemstone. We also search and fossick for other Gemstones and specimens while prospecting, and in particular we are looking for Septarian nodules or concretions. These rare specimens are only found in certain geological settings of the Pilbara.
Unearthing these rare and spectacular specimens is exciting. They were created by one of the most ancient and primitive lifeforms, a microbe called Archaea. These have been dated as being between 2.9 billion to 3 billion years old in published peer reviewed scientific research papers. The Pilbara Craton is geologically one of the oldest known places on the planet, the age is estimated at 2 .7 - 3.8 billion years old maybe older.
The mining season is here and we are off to mine the Lease (claim) We have got to hope the price of diesel drops sometime soon otherwise it will be a very expensive. When mining is finished we will ship the stone back to home base for grading and processing. Then we gear up for the NSW State Gem and Mineral Show (Gemkhana) on the 26th and 27th September at the Hawkesbury District Agricultural Showground in Clarendon.
So it will be back on the stones "Find,Grind,Polish ,Repeat" I hope to see you there
